Meditation gives us the ability to pull our thoughts into the present moment and stop the chaos of the mind. Meditation benefits our mind the same way lifting weights benefits our muscles.

Our mind has a tendency to hang out in one of two places: the past or the future, neither of which serves our mental health. When we are in the past, ruminating about the bad things that have happened, it can trigger feelings of depression and hopelessness. When our thoughts get caught up in trying to solve future problems, it can cause feelings of anxiety, panic and worry.

 

MEDITATION IS BY FAR THE BEST TOOL TO HELP WITH THIS!! 

 

Meditation is active rest, five times more restorative than sleep.
